In the Industrial periods of the petrochemical age, modern Humans all but lost touch with their sense of connectedness. For all the benefits of the Great Enlightenment, and all that prospered and was addressed in the Golden Age of Reason, modernity brought on an ever-increasing isolation and loss of contact with the harsh concrete edges of an artificial and increasingly toxic environment. We withdrew in self-defense and low-level anxiety became the operational norm.

Forty years after Rachel Carson’s ‘Silent Spring’, some progress is being made. Rivers are much cleaner (though not yet pristine). Much Mercury has been eliminated from commercial and industrial sources. DDT and the like have been banned for use in agriculture. But new hazards have emerged in the meantime and much remains to be done.

The New Eden represents an Integrated, co-creative relationship with our Environment and Mother Earth, as well as a new relationship with ourselves. Cleaner, more Wholesome; Regenerative, with dignity, peace and respect for all (including Gaia and all her living inhabitants). The New Eden represents an era where Humankind recovers our role of stewardship and responsibility, in a caring interconnected consideration for the wellbeing of one another.
